“Here in Wijchen, we make customer-specific sugar solutions. Our location is set up to produce as optimally as possible. At the same time, that means we have relatively little storage space. Given the demand in the market and the limited opportunities for expansion here, this will not change for the foreseeable future. So we are running at full capacity and fully utilizing our production capacity. Therefore, we were looking for a party that could take care of both transportation and storage. Thanks to our network, we started talking to Arie van Rijn of Willems Logistics. By now we have been working together for more than 12 years. That says it all, we are thickly satisfied.”

What do you expect from a logistics partner?

“Service and speed. Short lines and the ability to move quickly. A logistics provider often manages schedules. Nevertheless, it is incredibly important for us that we can make last-minute adjustments, whether due to changes in our production (a breakdown, for example) or last-minute requests from the customer. Willems Logistics demonstrates again and again that it can handle this customer need. From both the planning capacity and the drivers’ point of view, that flexible attitude works very well. Planners always think in terms of possibilities rather than obstacles. We find that very pleasant.”
